Why does the time depend on the tide?

The Ria Formosa is a shallow lagoon. Tours from Fábrica Beach (and those that go there from Tavira) can only run with enough water, so every day the system works out, with the official tide tables of the Portuguese Hydrographic Institute, the times when the boat can sail.

When you pick a day, only the possible times are shown. The tours from Tavira to Cabanas and Santa Luzia do not depend on the tide.

How much does a private tour cost?

The price is per person and depends on the tour: from €15 per adult (Cacela Velha, 30 min) to €50 (the grand tour). Children aged 4 to 11 pay less and babies are free.

How many people fit on a boat?

Up to 12 people per boat, including children and babies. For larger groups we add more boats (up to 75 people per booking), depending on skipper availability. For more people, message us on WhatsApp.
