How much does the water taxi cost?

The price is per trip for the whole boat (up to 9 people), the same in both directions: Quatro Águas – Tavira Island €10, Tavira – Tavira Island €20, Cabanas – Tavira Island €30. From 8 pm to 8 am there is a €5 surcharge per boat.

Which water taxi pier is closest to me?

The water taxi picks up at several piers. The closest one, depending on where you are staying:

Tavira town centre: Tavira pier (Cais MT, Rua José Pires Padinha).

Quatro Águas and Hotel Vila Galé Albacora: Quatro Águas pier or the Albacora pier.

Santa Luzia, Pedras d’El Rei and Luz de Tavira: Santa Luzia pier, 5–10 minutes by car.

Cabanas de Tavira and Conceição: Cabanas pier.

Manta Rota, Altura and Monte Gordo: Cabanas pier is 10–20 minutes by car. Just going to the beach? The boat to Fábrica Beach, in Cacela Velha, is 5–15 minutes away.

Does the water taxi run at night?

Yes, with a €5 surcharge per boat from 8 pm to 8 am. In summer, book 1 hour ahead after 10 pm and 8 hours ahead between midnight and 8 am. The rest of the year, book 4 hours ahead after 8 pm and by 8 pm the day before for midnight to 8 am.
